I here you PJ.
I took all the advanced art classes in high school and went on to college to get a fine arts degree. As my interests lie in there art field.
So I get a landscaping job. At that time I am three classes away from my degree.

Here's the real chronology, Howitzer:
1979 graduated high skewl (barely), enter "two and two" program in Mechanical engineering at local community college. Take co-op job as a toolmaker apprentice.
1980 get job on drafting board (yeah, they still had them then...) and discover I HATE it. Change major to Accounting and General Business. Find some success in a band - actually making some buckage. (Went back to the toolmaking position - same company.)
1981 Drink myself out of the toolmaker's job, health and mind failing rapidly because of drinking and drugs, not sleeping enough, etc.
1982 Quit band. Get sober. Try accounting job and discover I hate it. Complete degree anyway, find I only need a few more credits for general Liberal Arts degree and finish that too. Take job as engineer/toolmaker. (Making great sense, right?)
1985 Quit smoking, meet wifeling, burn my sports car up in the parking lot of her employer and then fall off a cliff. Take job as "Assistant to the President" of an ordnance manufacturer while learning to walk again.
1987 Get married, start business. (Still in awe that she married me after that first summer!
1989 President of company dies of alcohol-related issues.
1990 Get into fight with the heirs, quit and move on to the "day job" I still hold. Go back to college to complete my engineering degree.
December 2000 - graduated Suma Cum Laude.
So... it took me 21 YEARS to get my four-year degree.
