Computer screens and magnetism does nok apply. |

Does anyone know if there is a safe level of magnetism which computer monitors can cope with and if so what is it? |

Lost count of how many lucid dreams I've had

The magnets pull the electrons to one side which distorts the image, but it doesn't actually do anything to the screen. Unless you have an insane amount of magnetism which will damage the chips in it they are safe. |

If you don't mind me asking, why would you want to be able to place a magnet on a computer screen for an extended period of time. The only possible reason I can think of is to hold up a notice so you don't forget to do something, but you could always use Scotch tape without worrying about damaging the screen. |

Thanks for all the posts - The reason I wanted to know was because I've been set a design exam whereby I have to research various things so that when I go into the exam I can design something loosely based on some sort of storage within an office environment...I was thinking storage of things like paperclips using magents in a design but I didn't know if there was a level of magnetism beneathe which a magnet would be "screen friendly". If there was I would be able to incorperate selving or something for a computer screen to save desk space. |
