Yes, if nothing existed before you were born, they how do you exist today. We didn't just 'move' through time. If I 'went' back in time to nothing...well that would be physically impossible. I can't exist where there is nothing...becuase...well you get it.
You ever see that movie when that plane like flew into the past and it landed but no one was around. Then after waiting for a while little monsters started comming and they ate everything untill there was like nothing but "space" except for the plane which they got back in to try and get away.
Its not all that great of a movie but the point was, everyone is traveling forward through time while things in the past get destroyed soon after they happen.
Now I doubt little monsters eat it but it could just disappear and then there would be no past so you couldn't travel any where. Now I don't really believe that time works like that but it does kind of make sense.
If that is true than why are their fossil and ruins and carcuses and mummys and all of that sort.
All that stuff is in the present though. As things move along through time they age and stuff. There is no way of proving it one way or the other because you can't go back to look, everything now is just older versions of the past.
Oh so there is only a present and things just move along with it and don't exist in the past cuz there is not one.
Yea thats the theory. Its only one idea out of many though. Which is why I think you would be nuts to travel through time. No knows for sure how it works, could end up going into "nothing" and basicly you would die(no air).

By the way, by movies and television, and books of course, wouldn't it be impossible to stop this post because the incentive to stop it would not be there (paradox)?
I think it was an episode of the Twilight Zone where this guy went back to WW2, and he wanted to assasinate Hitler, except everytime he went to pull the trigger something would happen (ie, someone would knock on the door).
