My New Website

Hello, I have developed a website similar to this one. It is a non-profit forum discussion type website with subjects such as Astral Projection, Lucid Dreaming, Dreaming in General, UFOs, Ghost, End Of Times Discussions - subjects of that nature. My question is what is the best way to drive traffic to my website with these type of subjects. I won't post the website address unless I get permission from an admin or moderator. I feel like that would be advertising and I don't want to try and take away the traffic that comes to this website. I just want to know ways to get people to come to it. I have sent it to search engines (Yahoo!, Google, and MSN Search) but nothing has come of that yet. Do I have to submit several times before I get any results? I have decent META tags in my opinion. Any help would be appreciated. P.S. I have listed dreamviews in my topsites link in return for maybe some help on this issue. If I get no help, I will still leave it there for a good reference place if I ever get anybody to come to my website, register, and post.

Hi there, MP, and welcome! In regards to search engines, it can be tough to get a site listed in any kind of decent position. I used to work for a web hosting company, and did submissions for most of our customers, so I know something about it. The main thing I know is that their procedures are always changing, so what worked for me 7-8 years ago will likely not work so well now. I suggest you check out this link for more current information. My question is: why is lucid dreaming being associated with subjects such as End of Times, Ghosts, and UFOs?

Let me explain my website name - Midnight Phenomenons- A phenomenon is a rare or significant fact or event b. plural phenomenons : an exceptional, unusual, or abnormal person, thing, or occurrence (via Merriam-Websters online dictionary.) I use Midnight because the subjects that I talk about seem to occur more in the night time than any other time of the day. I know that you may dream or lucid dream anytime of the day but I just consider the majority sleep at night and do these things more at night. Astral Projection, UFOs, Ghost in my own opinion also occur at night and are phenomenons. End of times will be a significant/phenomenon event if it is to happen in our lifetime. To me, the website name and its contents just seems to all fit together. Also, the domain name sounded cool. Thank you for your information. It will be hard to get near the top of a search engine. I am trying to think of other ways to get the word out about a new website forum.

My first impression...Your site is way too cluttered. Not exactly inviting. And the logo is very low res. Doesn't look professional.
