The graph seems straight enough, no outliers are present but universal mind (which I omitted for data's sake), and the residuals plot shows no interesting patterns - therefore, a linear regression model is in order!!

      Correlation Coefficient = .709

      ArmLength = -.130 + .154 Height
      (both in inches)

Essentially, for every inch in height, the arm length is approximated to increase by .154 inches on average.

Of course, this data set is very small and limited in accuracy (where DOES your elbow 'start'?). Interestingly enough, the r^2 value is only .502 - that means that only 50% of the variation in arm lengths is explained by the linear model - apparently people are not quite as proportionate as you would think.

Sorry everyone, I couldn't resist applying some of my new stats knowledge to a (real?) life situation

      ^ Nice.

But as the memories of endless stats-related courses rush forth, I suddenly need a lie down.

Oh by the way, Mes's residual is a measly .210 inches. The standard deviation of the residuals is .585 inches.

The most oddly proportioned, according to this model, is Neavo, who falls short of the predicted arm length by .985 inches.

That is very impressive work you did there. Aren't you like 15 or something? I am amazed. I learned about that stuff when I was 20 and 21 as a junior in college, and I looked like the students in Ferris Bueller's class every time my professor talked about it. I would have to do some major reviewing to be able to work that math again.
      You are dreaming right now.

I'm 5'11'', but I have no clue had long my arms are, and no tape measure to help me out!

Starry starry night, paint your pallet blue and gray,

Yeah it says he is fifteen. They offer statistics in high school these days. Lol. He probably started out in jr. high with algebra 1 and then went on to high school with that already under his belt, going into geometry as a freshmen, and then, assuming his is now a sophemore, is taking alebra 2 and statistics at the same time, or if he is just young for his grade, is a jr. taking statistics and pre-cal at the same time. Of course I could be completely wrong, we'll just have to hope he comes back and straightens it out for you all.

      If anyone cares, I took:

      Freshman year: Alg II
Summer of Freshman year: Geometry (they gave me a textbook and the midterm and finals, I taught myself)

      Sophomore year: Precalc

Junior year: AP Calc (yes, being 14 in a class of seniors is awkward - at least I was about six foot by then )

Now (Senior year): AP Stats & AP Calc BC (I'm taking BC as an independent study because my school doesn't offer it as a course )

The reason I'm so young is that I skipped seventh and have a December birthday.

      lulz.

I just find when anyone significantly older than someone calls them little girl in an affectionate way.. it rings the alarm bells.

If I ever say it in a flirtacious way to a seven year old, please call the police. If I jokingly say it to a 21 year old to playfully suggest that I have experience and wisdom, get out of my way, unless you think you're bad or something.

Ahhh!! UM, I totally didn't realize! Now I shall respect your posts a fraction of a hair more. Seriously though, I have a thing for 30-some year olds so your age alone doesn't impress me, but let's not get in to that.

Everyone should put there ages in their profiles, dammit, and any other information that I deem necessary.

I don't know actually.. the mere usage of the term could refer to deep rooted desires.

      I don't judge. I just observe.

You should set up a counselling stand on the side of a country highway and get idiots to give you money for your expertise. You could also sell fruit at the stand and get some extra cash.
