      Do you prefer ...

Since the dawn of time--OK maybe not that long--man--and woman: man is only 49% of us--has come across DVDs & videos that have previews for other movies in them and some that dont and the movie just starts right away.

Are ya with me here ... ?

So do you think it makes the viewing experience more like being in a real theater when theres ... um Prates, I think I was gonna say.

So anyway, I have to conclude that, uh, yeah, they should really make a sequel to that Jack Nicholson movie.

previews are good in a theatre, and thats it. But they suck when the all the movies are out already (which is generally the case if you have a DVD)

I don't mind previews, if I can ignore them. Make it a DVD option or something. What I REALLY hate is when you load the dvd and have to manually skip the previews before you get to the dvd title screen.

But you know what I hate even more? The "WARNING, copying this is illegal" disclaimer. It's so annoying that you can't skip it (without a hacked dvd player, I would imagine).

I think previews in a theater are the best part of the movie. Previews on a DVD are a waste.

I'll be honest... what dragged me to this thread was your username here Will, lol.

On topic: Agree with everybody else. Previews for movies are alright. Interesting. Otherwise, sucks major shit.

Previews are the only way i find out what's next, seeing as t.v. sucks too much.

So, yes. Previews are the shizz.

What I hate even more than that is when they disable the skip function for the previews so you hafta watch them.

What I find really annoying but even more amusing, is that the pirated DVDs I buy here in Thailand have anti-pirating Ads that you can't skip past.

They're like: (In a deep, serious voice.) "You wouldn't steal a car... you wouldn't steal a purse... you wouldn't rob a bank... DVD piracy is a CRIME!"

And the Thai guy who actually pirated it in some back room in Bangkok hasn't clue what the ad is about.

BTW pirated DVDs are the only way I get can ANY english movies on this f..k'n island so don't hate me for it.

I hear the Chinese are doing it already... with cars that is.

The windows have a very high led-content though, hence poisoning and killing the Western brats who press their noses against the glass and ultimately making the world population 90% Chinese, which was the plan all along, of course.

Isn't that what middle class kids riding in the back of family saloons do?
Maybe that was just my family.
      My odd, messed up family.
Or maybe that was just me... dying to get away from them.
OMG it all makes sense now.
