When i was a freshman i college, i noticed a maturity level that was much higher than highschool. When i go back home to my sister or out with friends and we see younger people, you can REALLY notice how dramatic the change is.

What's funny is that sophmore year, i looked back at the freshman and was like "What the hell? They're so immature! Were we like that?"

I remember turning to my friend one day and asking him if he felt like he was older. Then i asked if he thought he looked older. Like when i was in 9th grade, i'd look at the high school seniors and they just looked older. When i got to be a senior, i don't think i looked older -- and even the people my age, they just looked like...people my age. They didn't look like the seniors i saw just three years ago.

And in college, the same thing is happening again.

Does anyone else notice this? Am i just weird? Lol.

That happens to me. When I was younger, people in higher grades looked soo much older but I got to that grade and what happened? I didn't feel older, but I would still see them all as older. It goes the other way too, I looked at kids in sixth or seventh grade and think "They look so young, was I really that young in that grade?"

I'm currently on my furthest older one yet.

I'm 16 she's 18. Although this said I mentally older than her it seems.

Or I'm just a fucking psycho. It remains to be seen.

I prefer to go on maturity levels rather than age. I could happily be with a mature 21 year old rather than an immature 26 year old. I really prefer maturity, I cannot say hoe anoying it is to be with someone immature. Oh and intelligence too, need to be able to hold a conversation.

I prefer to be older, my limit is 2 perhaps 3 years difference depending on the maturity of the girl. I suppose it's more the peer pressure and social norms of people my age group because of mockery and name calling if you go out with a younger person.

yeah well im a girl (16-17 in march) and im sort of together with this guy who just turned 21 in december. but i dont know its fine with both of us. at first he though i was a freshman in college and then i told him that i was still a junior in highschool and he sort of backed up for a little bit, only because he thought i was older. its all good now =]
