What would have been the worst aspect of life during the European middle ages? Heinous personal hygiene? No. Disease and famine? Hardly. That really crappy mandolin music that midgets enjoy dancing to? Close, but wrong again. The worst thing about medieval life was the unwavering evil of the Christian "justice" system and the tools of torture they employed.

Highly disturbing, but I found it pretty awesome and interesting. How twisted can you get?

9. The Head Crusher
If ever an explanation was in a name, the head crusher is it. Death by head crusher usually went something like this: the teeth imploded into their sockets and smashed the surrounding jaw bones. Then the eyes squirted from their sockets and finally, brain matter squirted from the ears. Unbelievably, many nations still use a version of the head crusher to this very day as an interrogation tool.

Well, lets think about it... these things they did must have taken a lot of thought... i highly doubt some one just got a prisioner and said to them selfs "you know what i'm gonna put him in a cage and hang that cage ten feet above a fire, that way he'll slowly cook to death"....

No i never said it was... tho it was a different time... i don't think we can decide what is acceptable or unacceptable for a time we have never lived in.

By our standards it tottally horrible and unthinkable it's nothing i would wish it apon anyone. Nor would anyone else for that matter.

But seriously, i'm glad most of this stuff is abolished, these methods of killing or torture are sick and its a real low point in our progression. These are one of the things that can make me feel sick for days simply because of the in-humane nature of it all.
