UK petrol/gas prices have reached £5 per gallon now.. thats $9.80 per gallon USD... The vast majority of that is tax, whats more they tax the tax too. In the UK we pay for fuel and duty, then the fuel and duty combined is taxed (VAT). |

Personally I think in cities, governments should make gas prices very high. That would very quickly help us turn to alternative energy. |

I would rather die on my feet then to live on my knees.

Well like I always say, the easiest way to solve a problem in this miserable island is by adding tax! Meh hopefully I can emigrate someday. |

The main problem with high oil prices is not in developed countries, but in developing countries where gasoline is, unfortunately, too expensive for many to use, which makes it extremely difficult for people to raise their standard of living. No fuel means fewer of the devices that we Westerners use to increase our productivity, namely vehicles: fewer vehicles to transport food, water, supplies, medicine, or fuel. |
