ok well i start the night off with melanie and tara... we're walking around this mall taking pictures of random crap... well we decide to go inside the mall and take some pictures... BIG MISTAKE. apparently you're not allowed to take pictures in malls. it probably wasn't a good idea for me to stalk the security guard with the camera on video mode... he told me to leave... he told me, "you can't take pictures inside the mall." he even had two sheriffs with him... i say ok and head towards the door... the dude is dogging me the whole way out... telling me over and over again "you can;t take pictures in the mall. leave the mall right now!" i tell him, "dude, i'm on my way out, chill." he stops about 100 feet from the doors... i continue on my way out with tara and melanie... as soon as i get outside the doors i turn around and snap a shot of him and the sheriffs... big mistake! (again) they start running at me. i turn and flee into the parking lot... i'm in sandals so i don't make it far before the security guard catches me. the cops were close behind with tazers drawn. i stop and walk back to the patrol cars with them. they hand cuff me and put me into the squad car. i sit while they run my information and scold me. the cop keeps pulling this shit and saying, "you can't take a camera into the mall, just like you can’t take a firearm into the mall." me, being the smart ass that i am, explain to the nice woman the differences between a .357 and a nikon 850... she's not impressed... she and her partner keep trying to tell me how much trouble i'm in... i continue to say that i was told that "no pictures could be taken in the mall" and that i wasn't "in" the mall... i was more "outside" the mall. again the officers weren't impressed with my lack of fear for their position of power. the mall security then took my picture! you believe that shit!?!?! they took MY picture and now i'm banned from the mall for 30 days... *sob sob* the cops made me delete the picture on the camera... they even threatened to take it as evidence and have it destroyed. the funny thing is... on that very same camera i have picture of my 13 year old sister pounding a 40 of king cobra beer with her friends.

ohhh what a night... i was released from my custody... and now i have a new outlook on the law enforcement profession... they choose to rule through fear... it doesn't work when the subject isn't afraid.
