Perhaps you should think (and possibly research) before you post, because psychedelics are not addictive. LSD, shrooms, mescaline... not something you steal money from your parents in order to get the next 'fix.'

I predict this thread is going to get shut down, but before that happens I will say LSD is a very good friend of mine. Mush is all good and fun, but still poisonous. Have yet to try mescaline or DMT, but peyote is coming up this summer.

I thought the psychedelic mushrooms were virtually harmless.

They are. How could they be poisonous but LSD's not? They're both tryptamines.

I want to do DMT so bad.

I would probably go batshit insane so I'm postponing until about 3 years or something.

Be careful with the drug talk guys, they are touchy with it around here. If you saw my thread about the weed videos, you saw how cautious I was.

Personally, I've never done LSD, Shrooms, Acid, or anything like that. For a few reasons.

A) I've never had access.
B) It would have to be in a comfortable surrounding (I.E. Not at some party)
C) I need to know that I"m ready for it.

You're ready, trippings nothing like you think it is. It's not the whole "omg tripy shit pink elefants LOL" high people have in mind. It's a very wonderful, wondrous, eye opening experience. It's an exploration into your reality and your personality.

I know that. I've talked to people who have done it. I'm just saying, me personally. I have to be ready to accept hard drug use. Not saying it would be that big of a deal, but it depends on who, when, where.

In terms of harm and addiction potential, LSD and shrooms are some of the softest drugs.

They are basically harmless, but the active component in mushrooms that gives you the 'high' is a poison called psilocybin. Supernaut, I think you need to look at your facts as well. What does being a tryptamine have to do with it? LSD isn't poisonous because it's a synthetic form derived from ergot. Big chemical difference between the two (between coming from nature and coming from a laboratory).

Psilocybin is not a poison.

Just because it doesn't kill you does not make it non-toxic.

According to Wiki (which is always right), you would have to eat 17 kg of fresh mushrooms to reach a lethal dose of psilocybin. Toxicity is very low. Saying it is a toxic would therefore be like saying that... rice crackers are toxic... or something. I don't think psilocybin actually kills any cells, unlike alcohol which is in an actual toxic substance that kills brain cells.

Reading back on my original post, I didn't mean to make it sound like shrooms were more dangerous than LSD. I have made it clear before that I prefer LSD over the other because to me personally it feels much cleaner. Shrooms come from a pile of cow manure, and although psilocybin is harmless (which it is), it is still a harmless toxin.
