      well, God made man in his own image... he doesnt need to reproduce, so you can count that out, but he made men superior (?) and that is why Jesus came as a man, instead of a girl, also, in the bible it talks about, errm, mentions that women arent as good as men, yet men are to be respectfull ect..... (grr ) God is seen as a fatherly figure, like paperdoll said, but (since hes the equivalent of 3 people rolled in one, i dont think he has a gender like that )

      Lucid Apple, Man can mean the whole of our race so it doesn't just mean man as in our gender.

      God is masculine because if he was female it would be Goddess which sounds more plural.

      Finde that is of course obvious, what you tell, and nothing wrong with that at all, but thats why i said consciousness and awareness is more likely to be ment as the image god would created us by, because what is a god with out inteligence and awareness and consciousness. And what are we without it?
      What i mean is that god (if god exists) cant be masculine or female and that what we call god only is a name, a label for what we totally cant comprehend.
      So the word god is only a bridge for our understanding!
