Yes; the more "popular" people on the boards are all basically good friends. After time it tends to be that a barrier appears between the "in" group and the "everybody else" group. But that's just normal behaviour for a forum. |

ok, i was reading through some posts it it occured to me that all the people that post often enough seem like really good friend... i mean you see other people joking about "paperdoll EP" and other such names..... ( that was the only one i could remember at that very moment) I want to be knowen in forums and such....(ok sorry that sounded like whining there) and i am sure that i am not the only that just want to make a name for them selves.... meh... i think i have gotten my thought across...... |

When you look in the mirror, tell me what do you see?
Your self or some one you want to be?

meh.... that is just slightly on the annoying side. we come here to meet people and they all are on there own little world unacceptant of others that are willing to place their own time in to finding new friends...... |

I try to base my judgment of people about the content of there posts. After all, I don't really know anyone over the internet. If you have good content then I find myself responding more and more to that individuals posts. - You have eight. |

Curiosity killed the cat but at least it didnt die an ignorant bastard
I guess it's like the same popularity thing that goes on in schools... i agree with nightowl.. anyways, I don't think people grow super strong attactments to people they talk to on forums. It's just fun and people- at least I- learn a lot from dreamviews, and along the way you can meet really cool people that you can have fun with a learn a lot from. |

Yeeaaahhh... I gave up on that a long time ago. I wanted to be acknowledged on the forum before, but theres no point in trying. Besides... Does it matter what people millions of miles away think of you? Bastards. |

Well this is all indirect conversation, so you can never really say you know that person. People still have slightly different personalities over the internet, or it may seem that way, because emotions are more easily expressed when youre talking to someones face, because there are factors like facial expressions, voice tone, and whatnot, but when all you see is text, feelings can be confused. This forum is most likely more friendly and "down-to-earth" than most other forums out there, but thats maybe because of what is discussed here as opposed to other forums that have different topics. As for popularity, screw that |

ok i know i am still "young" in comparison to this sites post status and i do appoligize about complaining as much as i have about this.... although from my experience in forums that is what it has been.... |

I really know what you are talking about man. I thought about it the same way as you in the beginning but then i realized its much better to have a more "relaxed" look at it. Dont have your goal set to "be the most popular guy around and get as many friends as possible". Just try to have as much fun as possible and be as relaxed as possible. |

It would only seem natural to feel a sense of detatchment if your new to the forum. I know it's probally taken the elder member here a while to 'bond' and create the community they have, but that has taken much time and patience, so it hasn't been an attribute given to them freely. |
|
There's something really gripping I'd like to say here, something about how being popular is a collective thing...but I can't pinpoint exactly what it is. |
|
That's why the underdogs will create a secret community...'snicker' |
|
this needs to be a poll, "who feels like an outsider..." |
|
I spilled spot remover on my dog. He's gone now.
Lmao apple cider, that rymes. |
|
yeah, but the only people losing anything are the insiders; its not as if the outsiders are part of the secret community anyway. |

Good lord, not again... |

You guys suck.

I'm fairly new around here...it's been just over a month....and I have never felt excluded from anything. Sure other members have their inside jokes and little games but that doesn't bother me, and I don't know why it would bother you. |
|
I forget how new you are Bradybaker. One of my favorite things on this forum is getting in discussions with you. I love having all of my beliefs challenged constantly so I can shed the weak beliefs and strengthen the strong ones. |
