Hitler learns of Dragonball the movie.

Backstory - READ FIRST: Alright, this back story is for those who have NOT been keeping up with the film, for those who don't know the changes that have upset quite a few fans, and for those who just don't know what dragonball is (You asshole). It's important to read this to understand the video below.

In the manga/anime...Goku is a baby whose ship crash lands on earth from a planet of super powered warriors. After he gets out of the ship he bumps his head and forgets that he comes from an evil race of people, forgets that he is foreign to this planet, and forgets his mission entirely...rendering him just like a normal little baby boy. He grows up in the woods, going on many different adventures, fighting villains, collecting dragonballs (magical spherical orbs which grant wishes) and making new friends. He NEVER went to school. His best friend is Krillin (a bald-head monk) who travels with him on a number of his adventures. Krillin is present in Dragonball, Dragonball Z and Dragonball GT (latter two are sequels of dragonball) and is considered a main character. Goku meets another friend who is present in all three anime's and the manga as well who is also considered a main character since she appears in nearly every show. Her name is Bulma and she has blue hair.

20th Century fox decided to make this into a live action movie...except they've made quite a few changes.

1. Goku is in Highschool
2. Bulma's hair is NOT blue
3. Krillin has been wiped from the movie and replaced with an "original" character made for the movie named "Teto". Teto is meant to replace Krillin

***Note*** Also in addition to that, Fox announced a few months back that they ARE creating a Cowboy Bebop live action movie and casting Keeanu Reeves for the role of Spike.

WHAT?! Fuck Dragonball, what is this crap about BeBop being live action? Even more crap about Keanu as Spike!? Don't get me wrong, I love Keanu's movies, but Spike is NOT a character for him.

I did some more research on it and turns out the good news is that it's just a rumor. The bad news is that the rumor allegedly came from an inside source within Fox. And Fox hasn't denied it. This is just one of many sources. Oh btw, a live action Akira, Tekken, Ghost in the Shell etc. are all coming out too. Tekken is coming out next year and I for one can't wait!

Just goes to show that it is pointless to remake shitty anime in any form because the only people who will care are idiot basement dwelling fanboys which is exactly the same group that will pick it apart screaming "waahh...its not accurate because a hair color is off" and hate the whole thing.

edit: then again, it really is still a good idea because you know you will all spend money to see it anyway because you don't want to be the only fanboy on your irc channel that hasn't.

I don't know much about DBZ, I've heard of it but never really looked into it! I still found that video funny though, it's good you mentioned the back story though because I wouldn't have got it as much.

I checked on the IMDB site and it seems very possible there's no Krillin in the movie. When I saw the list of cast, Krillin is missing. I wish they just forfeit the whole thing.
