Dragon dictation

what's up guys.

While making this post I didn't type one letter.

I'm using Dragon dictation speech recognition software by Nuance.
For the most part it's pretty accurate but sometimes it messes up.
But when it does mess up it's kind of funny, kind of like when you are using your iPod and you to type in a word in a change it to something that doesn't make sense.

I could see this being very useful for school projects and reports.

I didn't exactly get it the conventional way, so in a sense It was free.

I was excited that it actually worked. The post was mostly a test. & It's so much easier to say your report, than it is to type it.

Windows comes with some great software; have a look in the control panel under speech...

+1 I haven't tried out Dragon Naturally Speaking (or maybe I did once long ago...) but Windows 7 has some pretty solid speech recognition built in.

Yeah, it is also very good at learning through corrections.

But the API / programming interface is a mess - the only thing from Microsoft that I have come across that cannot easily be used through code. At least when managing multiple profiles and running it on a server.
