True, but I think they killed Phoenix in the... early 80s? Were those characters around back then? My memory is a little rusty. Either way, there are definately more powerful supercharacters than Dark Phoenix was, but that's why Marvel decided to kill her off.

What about Superman vs the Flash in a race.

In the Justice League cartoon they do say Flash is faster though, for whatever that's worth.

And in the Superman cartoon they never actually finished the race, and I believe Flash was slightly in the lead.

The sad thing is, i watched both of those cartoons

Tim: Wolvie would win, hands down. All Gambit can do is throw pretty cards. Wolverine has the regeneration factor, the adamantium skeleton, and not to mention he's about... oh... 300 years older than Gambit (read Origins. It's cool). 8)

Edit: Hang on a sec. Gambit's mutant power is the ability to charge any object with kinetic energy, right? So he could, theoretically, use his kinetic power to charge up Wolvie's skeleton. Even with that in mind, I still vote Wolverine.

P.S. Hugh Jackman (Wolvie in the X movies) is sexy hot!

yeah, ive read one comic book where gambit was fighting a guy, and he just grabbed the guys face and basically blew him up right there. i think gambit and wolverine would be a pretty fair match... besides, when you say anyone vs wolverine, you could just say "he has the rejuvination power" how do you kill the mother fucker?

That's easy. Colossus would win. What's Beast's mutant power other than looking like a teddybear? He's spry, sure, but he's really not that tough. Colossus would tear him a shiny new asshole. Also: both Colossus and Beast are currently dead in the X comics. Marvel went on a killing spree and got rid of a bunch of characters (including my girl Psylocke--damn them to hell!).

Xavier has how to kill every mutant on file (just incase they go beserk and they have to be taken down). Apparently for Wolverine it would mean cutting his head off, the only problem there is getting through the adamantium in his neck . All of this is basically because Wolverine has become grossly over powered. When the character was first introduced, he wasn't like this at all, his regenerative powers were just faster than most people in that something that would take months to heal on human would heal in day or so. I remember seeing a thing a few months ago where Punisher blew James' face off (literally right off) with a shotgun and two pannels later it had grown back. It's stupid now, he's almost invincible. I'd rather his ninja and military training were played up as his way of survivle rather than just a superman-esque invulnerability. Bah.

As for a comic book character... lol Lobo is pretty much indefuckinstructable

But If I was any Comic char it would be Batman, bad ass, he is just a normal Human, that has taken his physical and mental state and using sheer will has become a SuperHero. I think he is whats called a MetaHuman though, not a mutant or imboibed with super powers, jsut a normal human that has taken all that we can be and surpassed it.

Besides he has all those toys too...
Oh yeah, Robin is still the lamest comic character EVER! it was even in Maxim=)
