      What's wrong with the mother?

      Is the mother just a jerk or does she not think the son is going to die of suffocation or anything of that sort. Maybe she doesn't like the son but he almost died : /

      I don't think she realized quite what was going on. She could also have been told what my mom has always told me: "If a kid is making a noise, they're not choking. [restricted airway and all that eliminates speech]."

      Personally, I think it's a bit of a gag. The woman is laughing like she's crazy.

      He really looked like he'd slip out. If that ride went another round I doubt the fatty would've still been in his seat.

      He can't slip out of the seat with two belts in his armpits. The worst that can happen is some bruising there.

      Also, the woman couldn't do anything anyway. The kid is too fat and you can't pull someone up like that when you're to his side.
