      Haircut Advice Please

      I'm getting a haircut soon but dunno what to get. I'm currently dieting and exercising as I recently reached a record weight of 20 stone (280lbs) and have made good progress so far and intend to be thin again by the end of the summer. So with that in mind look at me:

      What hair would you give that face? Beard is probably going to go so no need to incorporate it into what you think I should get.

      Yeah I think the beard does have to go. I've enjoyed having it whilst being unemployed, it helps confirm my suspicions that I am indeed male. It's ginger and patchy though and will look terrible with short hair I imagine.

      As for what I'm going for... dunno? Just whatever looks good. I usually wear either smart/casual stuff or sort of geeky t-shirt and jeans combo. I'm 6'2" and quite broad shouldered. So whatever goes with that.

      I did love my mop-top but I don't know if I can be bothered with it anymore. That picture was taken the day after I had my hair cut and it never looked as good after that.

      haha, when I saw the title of this thread, I had only one answer

      "pay good money"

      just don't go to a place with 7 dollar haircuts (like I used to), and you'll be fine, haha

      but then again, do your research, you want to find a barber/hairstylist you can trust to go to everytime. it took me a while to find that certain person, but it was worth it.

      The short hair with no beard makes you look really young, but the beard with long hair makes you look mature.

      Ok, think we're pretty much decided on short hair. Any particular styles?

      Reality and Slayer, thanks to your encouragements, I'll keep the beard and see how it looks with the new hair cut.

      Yeah, that last picture is definitely the superior. It's the most modern (classy), anyways... long hair is out of the picture, and if you trim the beard to something more fashionable you'll be set for todays world.

      I find that a full beard a generally unattractive, however, the right style of facial hair can be really nice. I'm a sucker for sideburns, goatees, or mustaches...or even sometimes a combination. Not every guy can pull those off though.

      I think you'd look good with a goatee but that's just me. Not every woman is as big on facial hair as I am.
