On the 3rd August 2007 I purchased some headphones in Dixons at Gatwick Airport South Terminal. Unfortunately one month before the warranty expired they've broken, however I've lost my receipt.
I called Shure (the manufacturer of the headphones) and they said they'll happily replace them, however I need a receipt as proof of purchase. When I called Dixons for said receipt, they couldn't find any record of the sale, despite me giving them my name, address, bank card details, product information, exact time and date or purchase (since I was flying out of the country).
I don't know what to do about it now since Dixons cannot send a copy receipt because they cannot find it, the bank don't have any other information from my statement, and Shure want proof I bought them.
And advice please? Thanks.
