has anyone seen these? http://www.blucigs.com/ They are electronic cigarettes. you plug a cartridge containing a water/nicotine solution into an atomizer, which turns it into vapor, which is inhaled. it small and cylindrical, same size as a cigarette. no smoke is produced, only water vapor, no smoke smell, no ash, no tobacco, no tar. when you inhale, it automatically starts the conversion, and a little blue LED light goes on at the end of it. its pretty cool. just wondering if anyone has seen or used them. what do you guys think of them here is a video of it being used (not me, by the way): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9f0a8...eature=related

Wouldn't this cause "dry drowning". It seems like the water would accumulate into drops and take off the lining of the lungs. But those look fancy, I like them.

I smoked 2 packs daily for 7 years and quit with no craving. cigarettes are way less addicting than weak minded people make them seem. they need more shit to help the heroin addicts. now that's another story.

Bah! I would love to try out some of the "e-cigarettes" but they're so darned expensive and HARD to find (without having to buy on-line and often with a credit card). When I was on a plane a couple weeks ago I was humored to see that e-cigs weren't allowed. It seems they're not as widely accepted and some of the testimonials would lead you to believe. And now the US is starting to ban them and there's a lot of stink about them being bad for your health. Personally, I think it's just a lot of stink because it can't be taxed like regular tobacco products. I too wondered about a fluid accumulation, though.

You do realize that, due to genetics, everyone reacts to different substances differently causing everybody to have differentiating chances of getting addicted to different substances, right?

It just don't work that way. i agree that if you have strong enough willpower, you can stop anytime. thats how i stopped, just "ok, i dont want to do this anymore." if you are bleeding to death, you not quite in control of that. not much you can do except apply pressure. you CAN put the cigarette down.

But it is still more difficult for some and less difficult for others because those physical side effects vary from person to person.
