      On Designers

Yes. I am getting frustrated. I think this quote says it best:

"It seems that one only has to be able to watch television and hold a potato at the same time in order to be equipped to be a designer these days."

      feedback? comments?

Well this is in response to the enormous amount of BAD DESIGN on the internet lately, and shithole flashturbation animations that are apparently the new "cool" thing to do. I dunno. Just venting.

Flash is a nice outlet for some to be creative. I prefer working in full video myself. How about you?

Well here... let's look at the word for a moment.

      designer:

      Noun
      One that produces designs.

It says nothing about being a GOOD designer. For example, think of it this way.

"It seems that one only has to be able to watch television and hold a potato at the same time in order to get grades these days." "Grades" doesn't mean good grades.

      rljerogjdofjblcfjbldrjlewkjrlw23i23o23 << Look I'm a designer! Although, I am not a GOOD designer.

Blah... Do you get what I mean? Basically, it takes no talent to be a designer, but it takes a lot of talent to be a GOOD designer.

It's not about being good or bad, it's a lack of creativity and individual thinking. Everyone wants to look like "Super-Shit 20000" complete with platinum, black and light blue spiral diamonds. Not to mention the corporate assholes who whip the designers to what they want...

The amount of low grade designers out there now does seem to take out the 'glitter' and 'prestige' in the general vibe of being a designer. But at the end of the day, alot of people realise who good designers are, and who the corporate whore ones are. I have alot of respect for the good ones
