I find it really awesome that no one has commented on this yet.

I'll take a look at it.

Our climate has been changing for millions of years, human affect on this change is negligible.

Greenpeace and kyoto are bullshit. OOooohhh Canada!

Well. It's extremely ignorant to say that humans are having no effect on tempuratures worldwide.

Yes, they change significantly in millions of years, but humans are excellerating this.

I suggest we soon stop discussion before we go even more offtopic...
      Bollocks.

      Anthropogenic gases are definitively provable.

We can do something about it.

      But... do we want to..?

      Nope.

      Recall:

human affect on this change is negligible.

      Fine. I reiterate.

Humans have a substantial effect. Not negligible.

      ^[citation needed]

Of course humans have had some effect here. But whether it's a particularly significant impact is what scientists are still debating. Of course, the scientists we see on T.V. all the time are the ones telling us that "We did this, it's time to act now, blah blah blah." But I see all that as a bunch of propaganda set up by people like Gore to try and guilt people into helping to clean up the environment.

Not that helping the environment is a bad thing. Not at all. It's just kinda...low, putting it in the guise of "see what your carelessness has done? You people have caused global warming!" Eat my ass.

The key point is that because global warming is something that would have happened even without humans fucking up the environment (with our excessive emissions and what have you), A) we're not solely responsible and B) there's nothing we can do to quote/unquote "stop" it. Stopping the progression of global warming - or even slowing it substantially, for that matter - is nothing but a pipe dream. It's gonna happen, no matter what we do or don't do. So if you recycle, drive a Prius, and buy only local produce, kudos to you for living an expensive life laden with inconveniences. Doesn't mean those who aren't doing the above are to blame for all this.

To me, it all sounds like a huge cop-out...one big excuse not to do what every other animal does when they're subjected to change: Adapt. I thought humans were resiliant and highly adaptable, but apparently not so much as I had previously thought.

"Take atheism, for example. Not a religion? Their pseudo-dogmatic will to convert others to their system of beliefs is eerily reminiscent of the very behavior they criticize in the religious."

Point of interest; the only argument towards global warming comes from scientists hired by big oil companies.

      Wrong.

The biggest proponent for global warming comes from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and the United Nations.

The IPCC does not own oil.

I guess you guys do not consider evidence before you talk nonsense. Consider the following:

I hope the evidence speaks for itself and that this has been enlightening.

I would like to note that a lot of people like to deny global warming and yet I have yet to see arguments, or even citations, against the proposed evidence. Instead, it is feeble attacks at the credibility. Consider where the evidence comes from; IPCC and the UN.
