You guys are making me hungry now. I've never eaten deer, but it sounds incredibly delicious |

I object to hunting for the sport of it. If you're going to kill animals, at least put them to good use. |

Lost count of how many lucid dreams I've had

taosaur a majority of the hunters i encounter are peacefull family oriented people, i sorry your experiences were negative, but its a little stereotypical to assume being a hunter contributes to domestic violence( i personally advocate for hunters to beat their wives with a open hand, opposed to a clenched fist) just kidding |

Idolfan, I don't really care if you are trying to push my buttons or not, It doesn't bother me one bit. What i posted the first time in your i'm scared of hell post was not to offend you but to give you my point of view. thinking back on that post, did you take my advice and talk to a priest, preacher, religious advisor about it like i said? |

Live to fish, fish to live!
I have no desire to ever kill a deer, and I even have a desire not to. But... if I did seek to kill deer, I would have no ethics about it. I would be all gung ho about the idea of leaving bait, shining a spotlight, and spraying down whole groups of deer with a pair of uzis. If you enjoy killing deer, why not? |

You are dreaming right now.
Come on ,give the guy a break. |

You need to calm down with your moralism. What's wrong with killing animals? It's the way the world works. We kill, we eat, we get stronger, we survive. It's the natural order, nobody here's saying you shouldn't be a vegetarian, but who are you too judge sombody for doing what people have done for thousands of years, meat is an essential part of our diet that got us into the position we are in, a highly developed, highly intelligent species. |

I'm against hunting mainly because it's detrimental to the environment. Just look at Sarah Palin. |

I wasn't making fun of Dave. I was just making a point about people who really get a charge out of killing deer, and those people are out there in large numbers. I think about a quarter of my state is like that. I was saying that for a person who likes to kill deer, there is no point to ethics about how to kill them. |
|
You are dreaming right now.
actually you can get into a world of trouble if you aren't ethical. Here in TN the laws range from how far you can hunt from a road to not being able to hunt a baited area to the time of day you can hunt. If you are caught, there are major fines as well as having your gun and even your vehicle taken away. |

I'm going out, but I'll be hunting the hunters... BWAHAHAHAHA! |

Can you see me now?
Gotta find me first Bwahahahahah |

Deer Have Faces You Monstzer |

if you can read this then you are about to be punched
In Australia they probably shoot back. |

I would love to hunt a deer but lack the training and the weapon (I have a 38 Special but ammo is so darned hard to find nowadays that I don't get to practice and I SERIOUSLY doubt I could take down an animal with it). |

I know this sounds really red neck but there is nothing wrong with eating a deer you have hit as long as it wasn't complete destroyed. I hit one about 5 years ago. it wasn't dead so i shot it to put it out of its misery. after shooting it, i asked myself the same quesiton. It was during the summer so I called the local PD to see if i could legally take it home and they said I could. I took it home, cleaned it and put it in the freezer. A couple of days later, it was in my crock pot, on my grill, going through my meat grinder etc and it was good! it was a young deer. the younger, the better. A few weeks after that, i hit another one but was on my way to work. I called a buddy of mine and he came and picked it up. it ended up in his freezer. If you hit on and it is in good condition, call your local PD or game warden, make sure you can take it home and it is all yours. |

Dave, is there a way to buy deer meat from anybody who is not a hunter? Is it legal to buy it at some kind of wild game store or anything? |
|
You are dreaming right now.
I went hunting twice this month, first time we saw nothing, second time we snuck up on a herd of elk (humungous ones, was awesome), and one deer. The deer got away, we stalked it for a bit but it was too elusive. Fun stuff though. |
