If you don't know than maby you don't really have to respond to a question about intellect.

I hate IQ tests. They don't mean squat. Take me for example. I got 167, but I'm a dunce in all areas except music.

Einstein got a 160 something (right?), and he was a freaking nobel prize winning physicist.

How can one even begin to compare us?

      That's my 1 1/2 cents.

Nice comeback! Shame I couldn't understand a word of it, though.

Oh well, even if someone isn't smart, they don't need to lift a finger to benefit off of the smart persons hard work, considering that smart person probally sits in a box all day doing boring stuff.

Then again, maybe not, or maybe.

That is what I was saying. I have had IQ test that were not over the internet and have gotten really good scores, but that dose not mean anything. People react differently to test.

Just because they are not over the internet does not mean that it is reliable either. Even if an employer gives you an IQ test as part of a job interview or something, it doesn't mean that it is reliable. Employers often don't know the difference between a good and bad IQ test and are not willing to dish out the big bucks to pay for a respected one.

Has anyone here been tested with the WISC or WAIS?

Now that we all understand IQ tests, and how flawed they can be ...
If you want a set of fairly difficult IQ test, specially written to 'thin the herd', here we go: www.highiqsociety.com
      It's decent because :

      1. If you have the time you can try the first 4 (the 5th is for those over 140), and average your score
      2. It's designed to find above average intellects - no IQ of 160 for idiots. If you get 160, then try the 5th test.

Out of interest, here are my scores thus far (will update as I go):
      Ultimate IQ Test = 129

LMAO Placebo...we must be on at the same time.

I was just about to reply to this post because there was no link to the IQ test. Then when I hit the "quote" reply button, there was more stuff there. And kept hitting back and forward on my browser going "huh? wtf" until I finally refreshed the page. And blah blah. If that don't make no sense, it's because you have to have an IQ of 130 or higher to get it.

      Ok shut me up.

Yes, and I should have said 'Now that we all understand IQ tests, and how they can be used in a flawed way'
This test isn't going to be reliable as an absolute index.
But at least we're comparing apples with apples

I understand that it's a normal distributive graph, and works on a relative scale etc
Which is why we can't compare test 1 with test 2 ... and why I prefer this test because it has a purpose other than 'Do you need therapy'

At the end of the day, it doesn't prove much
