Mississippi Prom Canceled b/c of Gay Couple

Summary: A Lesbian couple wanted to attend their senior prom (one wanted to wear a tux) and the school did not want them to go "as a couple". The gay couple threatened to take legal action against the school, so instead the school decided to cancel the entire prom. Now, the students are extremely pissed at the two girls. Personally, I think it's wrong for the school to cancel a fucking senior prom b/c you don't want gay people showing up together. I think it's even more messed up that that that decision forces the school to turn on the two girls out of anger. God only knows what some of them might do to them. Discuss~

Most schools charge less for couples than they do idividually. I think it is pathetic. If I had this issue I would fight it too. Small town I don't doubt the girls , if not already, are going through all sorts of things inside and outside of school. Trust me kids are more understanding that most adults on subjects like this. Adults, set in their ways, are quick to turn on children who are "corrupted" while most kids will state their opinion and move on to the next drama, simply because they known they too have their faults and could be just as easily turned on. This is sick and should get more coverage.
