      How hard are the SAT's?

I'm taking them next Spring and I already bought a review book. Looking at it I'm not very worried about any of the subjects except for Math. I'm pretty good at Math and Science but I'm definitely better at subjects like Foreign Language, Social Studies, and English. When I looked at a practice test in the book I saw LOTS of Math questions that I did not know. However this might just be because I haven't learned them yet. (I've taken pre-algebra and geometry, but I'm taking Algebra II next year, so I haven't learned a lot.) Are the SAT's even that hard? Or do they just make a big deal out of them? If it helps, here's my GPA and Regents scores this year:

      GPA 3.91
      Global Regents - 96
      Geometry Regents - 88 :/
      Biology Regents - 94
      Spanish Regents - 97

It's not that hard. That said, there's no reason not to study anyway, because lots of scholarships will turn on your SAT scores. If you can go from a good score without studying to a great score with studying, why not do it?

You will do fine. If you study, you will probably do really good. I wouldn't stress over it, especially since you can take it again just to get a higher score.

      I suggest moving to Canada.

I pick up a half-eaten copy of a book by Neil Gaiman, and decide this is all his fault.

They're not that hard (at least if they haven't changed since a couple years back). If you study, there should be no surprises. Sometimes, you might lose points not because you don't know how to do a question, but because it's posed in a slightly deceptive manner that might trick you if you're not paying attention.
