Lightbulb Lucid Foods - The foods for lucidity (and drinks)

From what I've heard, there are a number of 'Lucid Foods'. I've decided to list them, then people can send me their 'Lucid Foods' and if people agree I will add it to this list:

DARK Chocolate - The darker the better
      Cheese
      V8 Juice
      Garlic
      Bananas

Hmm, cheese? Cool, I can't really have bananas sadly (my throat swells up and it gets all hurty) and garlic? Didnt know that one. Dark Chocolate is a given, its Known to produce SILDs (Sexually Induced Lucid Dreaming).
An Idea. A single idea from the human mind can build cities. An idea can transform the world and rewrite all the rules.

These are mostly from other threads, but I have tried them all (EXCEPT GARLIC) but in the other threads they seem backed up. I was planning to expand this list and put reasons on there, but I wanted first to know if people think it's a good idea.

Your list reads like my "bedtime snack" ha!

I try to have a little of each an hour or two before bed each night.
2-3 pcs. dark (really dark) chocolate
      2-3 slices of cheddar
1 can of V8 (with tons of hot sauce & worchestire & pepper)
      a banana
      250-500mg B6 (1 or 2 - 250mg's)
      maybe twice a week 12-15mg melatonin. (4 or 5 - 3mg's)

Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Like for example, the last 3 or 4 nights I haven't had shit for recall. No journal entries at all. Onliest good thing is waiting for the "rebound" that's bound to happen. Maybe tonight.

That one really worked. I had one peice when I woke up, and went back to bed. Little ashamed of myself though since I am trying to do more things in my dreams than just sex.

Like xristosx I've heard that popcorn is a LF (lucid food) but I've also heard that pickles and lettuce as well as milk or almost any dairy product. I read this in LD4all.

Any plant or drug that has anticholinergic properties works great to induce vivid dreams, however the downside is that if you take too much they will produce delirium - the hallucinogenic state typical to horror movies where you see things or people that are not there and do things you would never normally do - so, avoid eating/taking too much, but these are the thing I've had the most success with in improving vividness of my dreams.

However I have not seen an increase in lucid dreams, just in dream quality overall, but then again I had only had 2 or 3 lucid dreams in my life at the time I was using anticholinergics.

and btw, is it true that you get immune to the amanita muscaria fast? i heard about a guy that could eat massive amounts of it now, cuz he have eaten it very often.
All drugs have some form of tolerance. There are three classes of hallucinogen and all have a different type of tolerance.

Psychedelics - the most well known hallucinogens, e.g. LSD, Psilocybe Mushrooms, Peyote, DMT. These produce instant tolerance but it wears off very quickly, for example if you took some mushrooms one day, in order to experience the same effects the next day you'd need to take 2x as much, but within a week your tolerance would be baseline. These don't really affect dreams much, but they may cause a slight increase in remembered dreams.

Dissociatives - these hallucinogens are present a lot in recreational drug use but less well known/researched than psychedelics, e.g. Ketamine, PCP, DXM, Salvia Divinorum, and Amanita Muscaria when it is boiled. The tolerance from these is slow to build, you can take the same dose every day for weeks before you notice any, but once it's there it takes many months of abstinence to reach zero tolerance again. These sometimes actually cause you to remember less dreams.

Deliriants - The scary hallucinogen, they essentially turn your waking life into a dreamstate with things that aren't there - but seem real. I'd say these are very dangerous to lucid dreamers if you take a delirium sufficient dose, as some of the things you see could be seen as dream signs and you could be convinced you were actually dreaming. These include Nutmeg, Datura, Diphenhydramine, un-boiled Amanita Muscaria and various other anti-cholinergics. At any dose they improve dream recall and vividness, so keep it to a low dose. I've not noticed any tolerance with these over a two month period of taking small doses to improve dreams, but your mileage may vary.

Alcohol always does it for me.

Obviously I don't recommend doing this often...

I've not read anywhere that eating meat would help in lucidity or dream vividness, but it seems to me that anytime I have dinner with a lot of meat, I tend to have more vivid dreams that night compared to nights I don't eat meat.
