Hello, back again to report that the Remdreamer pro version came in the mail today. The big advantage to the Remdreamer pro (as compared to the regular Remdreamer), is the ability to incorporate sound cues. The device lets you record up to 30 seconds of cues, along with the visual stimuli, to help achieve a level of awareness to DILD. Can anyone tell me about the effectiveness of sound cues, and exactly what I should record? The manual suggests I use my name, then say that I'm dreaming. For the first night of experimentation, I'm using a default setting with the controls set to medium, which is six seconds of flashes at a level 6 intensity, plus the sound cues I have chosen.

The reason I bought the Remdreamer was because I couldn't wait for the Aurora Dream Band to come out (supposedly in February). It might be interesting to compare the results.IMG_0149.jpgIMG_0151.jpg

      FFFIIINNNAAAALLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!

A post about what ive been banging on about for ages ... Using a dream mask for DEILD!

Everywhere I look especially in the instructions for RemDreamer, Novadreamer and no doubt the Aurora (when its launched) all place emphasis on setting the lights so they dont wake you up .... WHY? :-/

These masks are a PERFECT device for DEILD. I will be using my Aurora for DEILD more that DILD's

On a side note, is the infra red detector in RemDreamer bad for the eye?

No, not dangerous at all. If you have set foot outside in the United Kingdom, then you have already been showered in infrared from security cameras:

The sun is 150 million Km away yet it is capable of blinding you even during a solar eclipse if you stare at it directly. You can try this as an experiment using a piece of paper and a magnifying glass. The focus point on the paper that burns would be equivalent to the retina at the back of the eye, whilst the cornea, is equivalent to the magnifying lens.

My point being that it depends on the power of the light source and type. You will literally feel the IR output from the sun itself in the form of heat energy which on the electromagnetic spectrum has a wavelength just longer than visible light.
