There's a thread halfway down the page titled Electronic Lucid Aids:
http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/inde...howtopic=37920
Asked the same question being a little anxious myself...I'll tell you from a newbie's standpoint how I see it.
If you have the cash to spend on a device like this and it's not cutting into other expenses (unlike me), it won't hurt to try the product as it may just lead to quicker success for you. Not to mention the forum loves any new input from members on aids they try.
Now on the other hand, if you are on a limited budget, and you buy this with expectations of instant lucid dreaming, you might be upset. Not to say this is a device that won't work, I just feel that obtaining lucidity is a tricky instance no matter the aid, and only perfection will be achieved with practice, not cash/devices.
For beginners, you should start with attempting lucid induction through audio. Here is an mp3 you can dl from member Phoenelai: http://www.phoensnd.com/LucidRemix.mp3
I have only managed to try it a few times, but set the volumn too loud and it woke me when it started. Don't make this mistake. I'm trying it again tonight.
Set the audio file to start about 4-5 hours into sleep, and have it loop over and over. I use a windows digital alarm clock to play the file (had to merge the file to make it larger as my alarm won't loop for some reason).
Anyways, keep trying this and tell us how it goes. Until you can become lucid like this, chances are the Dreammaker won't be any more of a help (just maybe though).
If you don't feel the mp3 is the best set of instructions for you, create your own audio file with you on there.
Hope this helps.
Edit: Ok I see that you have actually purchased...hey that's cool too, interested to hear your progress with it. Still try the audio first before it arrives though, either way you need to get the hang of induction technique.
I'm actually very curious as to who all uses audio around here, so I'm going to start a thread.
