I'm looking for a herb or other means of something that'll allow me to sleep not-as-deep.
I sleep REALLY deep. Now don't go all sleep phases on me (everybody has deep sleep, blabla) - I mean as in, you could fire a gun in my room and I wouldn't wake up. I sleep through alarm clocks, I tend to sleep for an enormous amount of hours without waking up - etc.

A cause of this might be that I sleep really comfortable (which makes you sleep deeper), and I'm quite the youngster (the older you get, the lighter you tend to sleep). I can't give up my youth (I wouldn't anyway), and I definitely don't want to give up comfortability. Besides, I also sleep super deep if I'm not at home, sleeping in my super-comfy bed.

      Anyway, anyone ?

I took a lot for a large amount of time, so eventually when I drank beverages that contained caffeine, I would no longer become hyperactive but I would still get the extra consciousness boost.

B6 isn't working either, tried that multiple times. Won't let me sleep any lighter. In fact, made me sleep even more vastly

Benzos? They reduce the amount of deep sleep and increase light sleep.

Try leaving something like the T.V. or radio on so you can hear it, whilst trying to go to sleep. Plus dont take anything beforehand like b5 or caffine.

well have you tried sleeping with an open window to allow some cool air into your room?
I know the Cold is something that keeps me more wakefull and alert, while Warmth does the opposite and makes me drowsy, tired and off guard.

Maybe you could try that? A little more cold and a little less comfort might help you sleep more wakefull. It works for me.
