Hi i dont know if this topic goes here but ill ask it anyways. when should you take vitamin B6 before you go to sleep. How long does it take to go in to effect? and by the way, do bananas really help dream recall and vividness? THANKS!!!

Okay, since this has been asked time and time again, I'll try to give a few bulletpoints.
      • Bananas contain insufficient B6 to have any real effect other than a placebo. As long as you're getting above the RDI (2mg I think), a few more milligrams won;t have any significant effect. Make sure you get above the RDI simply out of health reasons, but if you want to use B6 for dreaming, you can't exactly use bananas.
      • Don't take B6 daily. It will fuck with your neurochemistry and cause neurological damage.
      • IF you are going to use B6 pills, restrict your usage to once or twice a week max.
      • You don't need anything more than 200mg, and it will fuck you up so don't OD. Usually 50mg or 100mg is sufficient.
      • If you can, get your hands on some delayed release B6 capsules or pills and take one before going to bed.
      • If you can't get your hands on delayed release, my advice would be to use B6 in conjunction with a WBTB. Take a B6 pill maybe 0 to 10 minutes before going to bed once you've done your WBTB (ie, slept for about five hours, woken up for half an hour or an hour, and go back to bed).
      • B6 has a similar effect to caffeine - if you take too much before bed, it WILL stop you from getting to sleep. Other than that, the two substances are quite different. This is why taking too much B6 is futile, as you won't be able to get to sleep.
      • B6 supposedly increases vividity, not recall. If you want to improve recall via vitamins, use B12, but just as carefully as B6 and not often.
      • B6 is helpful sometimes in improving Hypnogogic Imagery during WILD attempts, and inducing sponatneous lucids (DILDs) by improving vividity.
      • If you use too much B6 you'll get a badass headache the next day. This shows it fucks with your neurochemistry.
      • For the LOVE, be CAREFUL. Don't use vitamins or psychoactives unless you KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING. Don't go gung-ho or you'll fuck yourself over and potentially cause possible irreversible neurological damage.
