I've had a hunch for a while that a big reason people see results from B6 and B12 is that its all in their mind, and the pills work as placebos. Does anyone know if this is true or am I just way off?

Possibly to some extent. I take multivitamin tablets with 100% RDA of B6 and B12, and I think I get more dreams when I take one. But it probably doesn't make much of a difference physically... it's all in your head. However, I think that in larger doses it must have some effect.

If you take enough B6 and B12 (I've done them together so I can't seperate the effects) there is an increase in dream vividness, sometimes leading to a lucid. This is definitely not a placebo effect. However, you have to take many 1000 X the RDA.

Maybe someone could do an experiment, make sugar pills, that looks like these vitamins, give the sugar pills to a group and the vitamins to another, then record the difference in the two groups....I would do this, but i have no lucid friends......
