I personally know that Tyrosine can improve your mental clarity and focus, so it might help with dream recall. I've taken it for a while, and I've found that it gives me a mood lift and a little boost in focus. All Melatonin ever did for me was make me feel ill, so I can't really help you there.
I don't know about GABA, but it would seem that since it's an inhibitory neruotransmitter, it would decrease activity, and probably make dreams foggier. But don't quote me on that.
