      tryin

been watching "The Truman Show" repeatedly to try and induce a lucid dream state. i read http://www.plotinus.com/zhine_tibetan_dream_yoga.htm and it suggests that realizing the illusiory or dreamlike quality of your waking state may induce a lucid dream state. in TTS truman wakes up to the falshood of his world and ended up walking into a door in the sky.

Truman show. What an awesome movie. I like the theme of everything being fake and played out just for you in a freaky, paranoid way.

It does stimulate the feeling of that Realisation. However wether you will pick up on Lucidity çause of it or wether you will just have a non-LD about the Truman show theme I don't know.

So far have U had any lucids from it? Or even close? It's an original idea TrumanShow...:p. I like that part where Truman was speaking to the sky...in the dream that would be like talking to my subconcious....

Yesterday I watched Waking Life for the first time without any results in my dreams (but with a better understanding of lucid dreaming) and pretty soon I'm going to watch Vanilla Sky.

Yes! Vanilla Sky. That did have an effect that gave me a 'lucid' where it was still really cool.

I'm still going to have to watch Vanilla Sky. I'll ask some friends of mine wether they have that movie or not. Otherwise I'll pirate...erm Buy it myself

I've got Waking Life on another PC that's not yet connected, but I've seen the movie many times. Next time I'm going to be on a psychedelic experience I'm going to watch that movie. It has no real plot anywayz, just significant situations and insightfull conversations with interresting characters; just like most dreams. The only plot is; it doesn't really matter wether you're awake or asleep; no one is really "awake" and always dreaming unless they gain some clearity and some lucidity to "disconnect" from their surrounding experience and become overall aware of it all.
