      Writing Messages on Your Body

On a whim last night, as I was lying in bed touching up some details in my dream journal, I wrote the word "Lucid" on my stomach. I thought, "Hell, maybe it'll work like Masaru Emoto's messages to water." Even if not, it could act as a placebo. Well, I did not have a lucid dream. I did, however, dream about the show "I Love Lucy." Thought nothing of it (and in fact forgot I had written lucid on my stomach) until I got in the shower and noticed that "Lucid" actually looked much more like "Lucy." A stretch, perhaps, but . . . .

The other day, my students told me I left an "i" out of a word on the whiteboard. I hadn't, I just don't make my i's very clear. And last night I had to go over the "d" a number of times because it wasn't writing right. When I did that, I unintentionally split the top to look like a "y"

I've tried this over the past couple of weeks. I wrote all over the palms of my hands and up my wrists and went to bed. Now, I didn't achieve a lucid dream from this though I could have, I had regular dreams where in I looked at my wrists and thought, "What the hell is all this scribbling?"

I think I'd have to put something like, "You're dreaming stupid! Get lucid!" on my arms for me to clue in that I'm dreaming. haha.

I did, in a dream where i became lucid for some other reason, grab a pen and wrote LUCID on my forearms so I wouldn't forget I was dreaming. I nearly lost lucidity a couple of times but seeing that on my arm kept me aware. I'm sure that if I did it enough it would work. Maybe I'll give it another try this week and see how that goes.

Same here, along with some other techniques!

But before bed, so I don't get caught with scribbling all over me

Wow, that is very interesting! It sort of reminds me of this book I read where a boy thought if he put a book under his pillow, he would "absorb" it in his sleep.

It does seem to have affect on your dreams, though, so I will definately try this out.

NO results for me yet (but it was the 1st night), except the pen won't come off my skin! Gah!

I've written stuff on my body before, but never in regards to lucid dreaming. I'm definitely going to give it a try tonight and will let people know

It's a lot easier to write it with whiteboard markers, for those who are going to try this.

I don't think writing on you before bed would help too much. But, this should work...

Simply write "reality check" on your hand and have it on there all the time (every day, all day) and simply keep retracing it every day so it's always on your hand. Just like how people will sometimes see them selves wearing a watch in there dream if they normally wear one in real life, people would eventually start seeing reality check on there hands too. And, mayby some of the time, that would be enough to snap you into lucidity.

Well, I tried writing on me this whole week, it didin't work ..

But limoguys theory seems to be pretty cool. The only problem i can find with it is that if you have the writing on your hand all the time, you will get used to it. You won't react to it if you always have it on your hand.

      Or maybe I'm wrong.
