      GPC Choline

Has anyone tried Alpha GPC Choline, it is suppossed to be able to trigger DILD's and also work with Galantamine. If anyone has tried this please reply, because if it doesn't work I don't want to waste anymore money on supplements that either don't work, or produce minimum results.

I can say that Alpha-GPC is really great. It can produce quite long LDs if taken together with galantamine.

It gives me so much dreamtime in the morning after an LDS WBTB. In the beginning it was hard to get out of bed however, because dreaming was so much fun.

Alpha-GPC is a very expensive supplement. But it can cross the blood-brain-barrier and in my opinion it's worth it. It's much more sophisticated than simple choline bitartrate.

I've never tried it on its own however. Since you seem to have problems with galantamine, maybe you should ask someone first who already has a bottle of it so that you can try it first.

I bought some Alpha GPC, I've tried it twice so far, and so far, no luck. I tried it first in the morning after sleeping 6 hours, then staying up an hour going back to bed. I took it after first awakening. I lay in bed for about an hour, couldn't go back to sleep, then that night I tried it at bedtime, no luck there either. I was only trying 600mg though, 2 300mg capsules, which is what the bottle says is the recommended serving. I'll try again latter though.

It hasn't worked for me either. I have the Source Naturals brand. I've also tried choline bitartrate on its own numerous times and it hasn't worked either. I didn't feel a thing from either supplement, no insomnia or anything. But...I just received my first bottle of Galantamine so I'm going to do it right next time. If not tonight, soon...

Just wanted to add that the most Alpha GPC I've ever taken at once is 600mg. I've read that you need 900-1200mg to have a lucid dream.

I took 300mg of Alpha GPC together with Galantamine and that triggered a short lucid after about 2 hours. But it also caused a lot of insomnia, probably because of the Galantamine as the Alpha GPC on it's own has never caused insomnia.

Update: Four nights ago I had a DILD from Alpha GPC by itself, no Galantamine. I opened two capsules (600mg) of the GPC and stirred it in with a small amount of water. The dream started about 90 minutes later with music playing in my head which was a dream sign for me and this led to floating lucidly out of my bed into the dream world. It didn't last long and led to the most realistic false awakening I'VE EVER HAD. Woh. Thomas Yuschak talks about how GPC can "add a sountrack" to his dreams. It does for me too. My other lucid with GPC (and a little Galantamine) three weeks ago started out with music also.
