actually the more I look into it, the "dreamamins" look pretty sweet. . .I may buy some and post how it works for me. . .

The galantamine/choline combination works extremely well when used properly. There are quite a few threads on it here.

As far as the valerian/melatonin combo, I highly doubt it will work to help increase your LD frequency. In fact I suspect it will decrease recall, but you never know I suppose. Everyones bodies vary.

I know this is a pretty old thread but I just had to answer seeing as I've just started using herbs again as a dream/lucid dream aid

You are totally right FG. Valerian has tranquillizer like properties and is often used as a sleep aid i.e. insomnia and the like. It really doesn't increase lucid dreams, dream recall or even "normal" dreams as it pretty much knocks you out (well it does me) and you can't remember anything apart from getting in bed and waking up again lol, and this is what it's meant to do. However, this won't be the case for everyone as herbs (just like modern medicine) work differently for each person.
I work with herbs quite a bit though (for many different purposes) and so do a lot of the people I know and they've all said the same thing regarding Valerian - it's great to help put you to sleep but as far as lucid dreams and dream recall goes it is pretty useless. Like I said though, if you suffer from insomnia it's excellent, highly recommended

HaHaHa, I like it Though I really think going o'naturel is the best way with just a little helper along the way when really needed i.e. a dry spell

      whatever works.
Isn't all this stuff natural anyway.
Look at shamans for example, they use crazy drugs to advance spiritual awareness/exploration.

In the book, The Art of Dreaming, Don Juan gave that guy a bunch of funky drugs to enhance his dream work too.

perhaps drugs (natural, of course) is the way to do it.

      or perhaps not...i dunno.

its just from what I've noticed is that a very diverse amount of
drugs/herbs/whatever, have been used for thousands of years for spiritual growth and exploration by many different cultures....
