      Post WBTB Schedual

So the first night I tried a WBTB I slept for six hours and had an LD, the next night I tried it I slept for six hours and had multiple non lucid dreams.

Durring the week I have school I dont get much over 7.5 hours of sleep anyways, so I would hate to be up an hour before I actually have to get up. So how many hours backwards should I try so that, that sleep schedule works for me.

Thanks DV for all the help-Torin

6 or 7 hours of proper sleep.

To translate your question ( if I understand well ) - how many hours of sleep before WBTB works best?
I think you can easily reduce the time to 4.5-5h and see if it works.
To answer precisely - contrary to common belief REM cycles are not fixed and depend on many factors like when you go to bed, your condition, if you are tired, what you ate, your environment (sounds, light) etc. I measured mine a couple of times with REM Dreamer and always they were different although about 4-5h after beginning of sleep the appearance of REM was more constant.
Thus it's a kind of lottery but you can it find out only with your more or less successful attempts.

4.5 hours works perfectly for me. It also normally coincides with a REM period in my cycle - good for slamming a few supplements and then a DEILD attempt.

6 hours for me is too long - when leaving it this long I struggle to get back to sleep. However, im 40 and work - so the average workday night I only get 6 hours - so my body is used to getting up after 6 hours kip. Might work fine for you.
