Lighted pen... this is actually really cool!

I got myself a lighted pen for writing in my DJ without having to get up and turn on the room lights, and I didn't realize how cool it was going to be. Here's the kind I got: Amazon link It uses a green LED, which doesn't destroy your night vision the way a white light can. It also takes standard ink refill cartridges, unlike some lighted pens. I didn't like the cartridge that came with it... it wrote real thin and scratchy, so I replaced it with one from a Papermate Silk Writer pen that writes... well, smooth as silk! I keep this bad boy tucked into the spiral on my notebook, and there's just something I love about sitting up and writing with this little green spotlight effect at the tip of the pen... it's actually pretty surreal and dreamlike. It makes writing in the DJ really special. Heh... I remember seeing ads long ago (before some of you were born) for a pen like this, plus the original Novadreamer in the back pages of a magazine, and since then I always thought of lighted pens as lucid dream induction devices. So that's doubtless part of the reason I find it so fascinating. I lso like to read when I go to bed using a clip-on light with a gooseneck that attaches right to the book. Somehow these events bracket my dream period... Im in a dark room in my bed with self-illuminated devices. Something awesome about it! Anyway, just thought I'd share.

Nice find! After reading this I just bought myself a slightly different designed one from Ebay with a blue light. It was a UK supplier and can be found by searching "Dream Pen light".

Damn man thats pretty sweet, I just spent my amazon money on some books (damn) starting to wish I saw this first . I had a pen with a small florescent bulb in it and it was masked by an orange cover but i think it does mess up your night vision. Nonetheless very cool, Ill get two one for my DJ and the other for lectures when they use a projecter and i can have my slick LED pen

Thanks! I purchased a "pen light" on Amazon last week, however when I recieved it, it was a light without a pen...LOL. I'm gonna order the correct one now. Thanks again!
