      Seroquil and Zoloft.

I haven't been in the mode of remembering dreams and trying to obtain lucidity because I have been going through alot of hard things lately. I spent a week in a phsyciatric hospital after suffering a six day long phsycotic episode. I was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder and manic depression.

I now take Seroquil XR (800 miligrams at night) which if an anti-phsycotic and sedative, and Zoloft(50 miligrams at night) an anti- depressant.

I need to know if either of these drugs will either be detrimental of benificial to 1. my dream recall and 2. my chances of attaining lucidity.

I just starting a dream journal yesterday and I aready remembered about five dreams. also a few days ago I had a vivid lucid dream.

I am also Bipolar and suffer from Severe Depression Disorder. I use Seroquil to help me sleep at nite (800 milligrams) and am finding it very hard to recall any dreams to write about in my Dream Journal. I'm thinking because the Seroquil sedates a person so much, it may hinder dream recall and possibly the ability to become lucid. Is there maybe anything over the counter that my help with dreams which is safe to mix with prescription drugs?

Hey. Here's two very helpful PMs I sent moody about Seroquil

600mg or more can make things much much harder.

Seroquel has some effects on people. It helps you sleep, but usually still light sleep. For many people it boosts metabolism during the night, then you'll get up and eat. You'll wake up and not remember anything from the past 12 hours.

As far as I know, seroquel really screws up night-time memory.

Also, sit there for a bit before reaching for the paper. You'll start thinking about it again without even trying cause you're about to go back to sleep. If you're good enough to catch yourself, great. If you have time to snooze, use it as a time to lucid dream (even if you realize you're dreaming don't try to control it until about 5 minutes in, you'll be sleeping way too light.) - if you use an alarm, just hit snooze incase.

Once you sat there for a bit (30 seconds should be more than enough) then get your paper.
I also forgot to add seroquel is almost like a narcotic. It can easily cause withdrawal when taken off and negative effects like I just stated in the last message, which you'll have no memory of.
