      Random realitycheck gizmo/software?

Hey, I'm trying to get into the habit of doing realitychecks every now and then, and wondered if anyone knows of something that will get your attention within random intervals? I keep forgetting to do them, so I need something that tells me "Hey! Time to do an RC!". Would be awesome with like a vibrating bracelet or something, but I'm often by the computer, so some kind of software might do fine.

It could be as simple as a digital watch that chimes every hour, and when you look at it you make sure its not like 30:74 pm or something lol : )
      Hope this helps

For the first week I would just have "RC" written on my hand. Whenever I saw it, I RC'ed. But only do this for the first week. After that, you should try to just remind yourself. In my opinion, being able to spontaneously ask yourself if you're dreaming is far better. In a dream, you may not have a watch or something written on your hand. But then again...

Thanks for the advice! Yes, I would think being able to remind yourself to RC is the best option, but as I said, I tend to forget The idea with the watch was not bad. It would just need to make enough noise to call attention, even when in a noisy environment.

Yeah, I've been using my watch for reality checks. It beeps every hour so when I hear it and just look at the time, turn away, then look back and check if its the same time. I do this a couple of times while repeating "Am I dreaming" over and over and if I am satisfied at the end I say: "No, I'm not dreaming". But the beeping isn't very loud so sometimes I miss it. I was thinking of building an RC device to help with this. I think a vibrating bracelet is a great idea. It would certainly be enough to notice while awake, I just wonder if you will still feel it when you are sleeping. Can you guys think of any other devices that would be good for checking reality?
