      Amanita Muscaria- vivid interesting dreams

I've only experimented with it a few times, and so far each time I had vivid surreal dreams. The mushroom was considered in ancient times to be shamanic or spiritual. Rumored to be Soma, and used by Vikings. I didn't take more than one cap, and was careful. It was pre-dried, but I baked it again. The second time, when I baked it for about fifteen minutes, it created a really uncomfortable sensation of pain.

I don't know why, and this worries me. It was like a metaphysical pain and all I could think of was that I was feeling cleansed or purged. That night I had vivid dreams, with almost a twilight dark quality...yet with vivid colors and around the time I was waking, I saw people vanish. The dreams were very rapid and on-going, but I never experienced any hallucinations of any sort. I only had vivid dreams and heightened memory of them, plus a better recall of when they started and when they were ending. Time distortion, though. I would not recommend it for a "trip" but for a spiritual experience...which could also be painful, and for the amazing dreams and profound insights.

I've researched and there are quite a few bad experiences with it as well as good ones.
It is completely unpredictable, but I believe setting is an ultimate factor.
I'm not sure I'll do it again, because the mushroom produces a sort of delirium I guess.
I might, though, after I do more research on it. I'm not sure how toxic it is, actually, I've read confusing reports that say it's either harmless or not so toxic. And if anyone has more insight on this, that'd be really helpful.
