I think we should maybe put together a large list of things to do in a dream and put the list into the back of the book.

It sounds like several interested students aren't participating right now cos of term starting, which affects me also. The absence of Chapter 2 in particular is bugging me. I'm starting a thread for discussion of historical events in Lucid Dreaming in byte-sized chunks.

so is this still on, If the people that want to participate are not and will not we might as well replace them now, as for the list I posted it in the 100 things to do thread, but I have 120

I have plased a thread in this section with my list, feel free to add to it.

I am not much of a writer, but I will try to write the lucid dreaming chapter, which can later be revised.

hey sugar, just to bring it up: do you reckon we sould make the "Project sketch" thread a sticky rather than this one? just a thought... or maybe both

You may surely take a chapter to contribute! It's good to know someone is interested in picking a chapter up.

Remember that you don't have to do it all by yourself: once you judge your chapter finished, you can post it here for revision and discussion. This is a team project after all

Check out the new chapters I added to the Project sketch. The following chapters will be about induction techniques, and you could surely pick the one you find most interesting You could use the ideas contained on the tutorials for that: we have a fat list of tutorials we were permited to adapt (again, check the Project Sketch for that )

What should be the names of chapters 5, 6 and 7? They will be about the induction techniques (check the Project Sketch for details) and I just can't think of something without it being similar to LaBerge's chapters. Could you guys' superior minds help come up with something? thanks

Okay so I talked to my cousin (sugarglider11) on the phone just now. We decided that I would write the WILD chapter.

Help me name some techniques that have helped you with WILD

we allready have a list of aproved techs in the project sketch, if you want anymore you will have to pm the creators to make sure it is ok to use.

personal suggestions:

Try reading the different WILD tutorials there are. I have a lot of experience with regular WILDs, so maybe I could help you. Jus twrite whatever you fidn appropriate and I'll revise it for you later on.

ParadigmShift's method is just brilliant, but he hasn't replied to my PM.

How to make your physical body fall asleep is also a good thread.

You could add the DEILD, VILD and FILD techniques, which are different from the main WILD but fall under the same category.

My original idea was to divide the WILD chapter into two subsections: one to reach Sleep Paralysis and one to enter a dream once in it. Sounds pretty organised that way.

Born, do you have any expierences you may want to post in the dream journal thread of the book project, If so please do. We need a wild for sure.

I'm still working in short bursts on a new introduction. I'm posting as I go along (in the Chapter 1 thread). I haven't had any feedback on my version yet which is disappointing; perhaps my "short bursts" aren't very convenient to review.

Please comment on it to make me feel worthwhile :-).

As I see it we've now moved from "glacially slow", to "just sourcejedi, who is glacially slow". I'm happy to continue, and to proofread new stuff from other people, but I'm not a leader :-). I don't/probably won't have a very good of where the book is going, unless I end up re-writing all the current chapters on my own, first.

In other words, at the moment I don't feel comfortable recruiting new people to the project myself, explaining what we are trying to do and how they can help. For now I'm going to keep plodding on. I would welcome a revival, so long as its coherent enough that it gets more written and doesn't just fizzle out.

Yeah, if Seeker or someone could make an announcement it would attract more people. You'd need to think a bit and work out how we greet the new recruits first though. I think we would definitely need to discuss at the outline of the book (the list of chapters) again, as a group.

Before any announcement you/we should dig out the latest outline, check how far we got with it, and post something based on that - as a starting point for discussion. Also mention how we work, I'd say it should be to post work frequently as forum posts, or as links to Google Documents.

Hmm. Now I've put it into words, maybe I could do it after all. I guess it would depend on the quality of the new recruits though . But I'd rather wait until I've finished my current work on the new Introduction.

I will contact seeker again, and hope he is not getting annoyed with all of our requests.

I think this is a great idea. I won't be able to contribute much, but this sounds really wonderful!!!
