      This Was Amazing!

      Okay, hey guys, I'm new to this site, even though I've been lucid dreaming for about 3 years now. So basically, I had a lucid dream last night, and decided to experiment. I went up to a stranger, and asked him a math question. The question I asked was : What is 23 x 87 x 102 + 27 = ? Then the stranger replied : 204129. I checked this when I woke up and was amazed that it was right. Considering usually when I ask a question (not math related) all I hear is gibberish. It's like my mind subconsciously figured that out. It was crazy

      It seems that somewhere deep in your subconscious you are one of those mental calculators, maybe you could somehow get it to work in waking life as well? I'll try the same thing next time I become lucid.

      Wow I wonder if anyone will be able to do this, our subconscious minds are far more powerful than our conscious minds. Someone who has regular LD's has to try this and let us know

      Well, I've read that those who are prodigious at math complete computation on a subconscious level, in that they don't even have to read the problem to themselves or think about it in the least to know the answer. They just "generate" it. Other researchers have suggested that all people have this ability, at least limitedly, or that the subconscious is a factor in math computation in all people but plays a more prominent role in prodigies. I suspect this is a potential explanation for your mathematical skill in dreams.

      woah, that is something i need to try out. i heard somewhere that ur sub-conscience uses a much larger portion of ur brain. so maybe thats why u can do rediculous math questions in ur sleep like that
