      I couldn't wake up!

My dad was in the hospital, so I was staying there with him. Okay, so the TV was on and I was sleepy so I took a nap. While I was falling asleep I could hear lound bangs and sounds outside every few minutes, and I think I continued to hear the sounds even after I fell asleep. Btw, this was my first lucid experience, and it was REALLY deep.
I was in my dream then, and I was in this room with a computer in front of me. The screen had a really wierd frame, it was orange/red/purple and had some wierd symbols on it. I realized I was in a dream because I remembered falling asleep in the hospital room. I wanted to test myself so I read something on the computer screen, then turned my head, thought of something else (this person that I like) and when I looked and the screen again, the persons name was on the screen! I was really excited then, kinda scared though. I kept looking into the frame of the screen, and then I started getting pulled into it.
I could see myself from ummm like a 3rd person view and my own eyes too.
then I was floating horizontally and my legs were in the orange/red/purle thingie, and my chest and then it was REALLY creepy, cause when my body was inside the frame, upto my neck, I felt my whole body tingle.. and I remembered reading on the net that you felt vibrations when you were leaving your body. that's when I freaked out.
I really paniced. I was fully in the orange stuff, there was orange everywhere and I was falling down slowly. I tried to wake up but I couldn't. I managed to open one eye. I could see the hospital room with one eye, and orange from the other eye. It was so wierd! I tried moving, but I couldn't and i even tried calling out to my dad twice. my mouth opened, but my voice didn't come out.

I made this 'chk' sound with my mouth. you know, like when your mouth is shut, and you breathe air in quickly while opening it to make a sound? i did that to get my dads attention, i still couldnt move my body.
and then i finally got out of it.

      i'm quite confused.
      Grrr..

You should be proud. Many want what you have have. Keep working towards lucid dreams and try do new and different things. You should try to start moving and getting around. Obviously the dream didn't allow you to change that, but with some control in your dreams you will do whatever you please.

your brain was trying to pull you back to the dream..you'were still in the rem stage, thats why you couldnt move..and your body was paralized because before you enter the rem sleep your brain sends out signals to dissconect from all the muscles exept your lungs and heart ''obviously why i dont need to say'' so that you wont act out your dreams ..some people manage to wake up before the dream is done and before natural movement in the muscles is restored and the only thing thats moving is your eyeleds and mouth..next time you experience this just shut out your eyes relax dont fight the feeling ''dont freak out if you hear sounds or whoosing'' gradually the dream will start again and from there my friend i can only say endless fun! its really normal infact theres a study that says everyone is bound to experience this sevral times in thier lives..or atleast once

      hope this helps

      I've been there before....

      I'm using this forum since [b]March 15 .

      Imanaged one WILD.

I had 2 LDs since and the last one I managed to materialize things and fly. I just woke up cause my wife moved me in the bed, Otherwise I would have acomplished lots more.

I always encourage people to tell experiences here to feed our subconscious about what we can do...

Dont' be afraid. You are in full charge of your dreams. You just didn\'t realize it yet.

      Good luck next time.
