      Strange "Double Take" experience

So last night I was listening to binural beats as I was falling asleep and setting my intent on remembering my dreams in the morning. The last dream I had was so strange I wouldn't even know where to begin explaining it but it ended in me strangling the evil out of this demon possesed plush doll. As I'm doing this I realize that it is in fact rediculous and that everything I've done to get there has been rediculous so I must be dreaming. I become aware of the dream and begin to look around the room, just then I hear my name, it's my roomate trying to wake me up. I look up at him and see him standing in my doorway but then I look away and see my hands around the neck of the demonic plush doll again, all the while my roomate is talking to me in my waking life and my room is starting to come into view. It was like doing a double take at a dream then fully waking up. If this has happened to anyone else please share.

Did you ask him if he noticed an odd movement from you? Were your eyes still closed?(of course if it was dark theres no point asking)

Actually I remember seeing him and actually answering him but then falling back to sleep into the same dream right where I had left it. It kinda freaked me out so I woke myself up, it all happened really fast. If it ever happens again I'll ask the person who woke me up if they noticed anything. Thanks for the reply.

No problem, are you sure it wasn't seamless and that you just dreamed him in your doorway because of the real world stimuli? I mean that you heard him in your dream so you dreamt it taking place... that could explain it I mean how could you go right back to sleep?

It sounds like your dream and the real world were sort of intermingling, that's happened to me sometimes, it's interesting.

I've had an experience just like that. I was sitting, smoking weed in a dream in the basement (right where I was actually sleeping), and all of a sudden the door opened to the basement, my mom shouted "Get up you have to go to the doctors in 15 minutes," and I freaked out, but she didn't look past the stairs and so she didn't see any smoke. I Told her I'll be out in a sec, and she half closed the door.

My hands were holding a pipe, and I had just exhaled, I look at the half open door, look at the pipe, then all of a sudden, the pipe disappears, I'm sitting up with my hands down, the door is half open, and I had actually responded and I could have sworn to god I was actually just smoking. The thing was, that was even more weird in my experience, was that I was high for the next 30 min. I was so freaked out when that happened, I had to double take like twenty times to see if I had actually just been smoking pot.

...So yeah, I know where you're coming from. I had figured it was some strong HH or something. Weird as hell though.
