What happened was I didn't go to sleep til around 4 am. I slept til 5, got up, used the restroom and got a drink of water, and got back in bed. I put my sleep mask on, did my white light affirmations a couple times, and told myself I wanted to have a lucid dream... then I lay quietly like I usually do when I'm trying to WILD. I started to get some really interesting HI like I've never gotten before - really complicated geometric structures made out of fine wispy material that was the color of a rainbow, interspersed with occasional flashes of images (an animal, a human face, ect). I think at some point I dozed off for just maybe five minutes - I'm not sure, but the next thing I knew, I felt that "sinking" feeling, like I've dropped through my bed, and I knew I was lucid, without even having to do a nose RC. I got the sinking feeling again, except this time, it was like I did a couple somersaults in the air. There was blackness all around me, and therein lies the problem - I had a really hard time getting scenery to form.

That happened to me before - going lucid and being in blackness but not able to see anything. At that time I didn't really stress about it, and eventually some imagery came. This time, I waited a few mins for imagery, and nothing came. I knew forcing it was the last thing I should do, but I was kind of at a loss... so my question is, has anyone ever found themselves definitely lucid, but in blackness with no scenery, and if so, how did you get scenes to appear?

After what seemed like ten minutes, I finally got an image of a woman and a cat. At this point I think I got overexcited, I jumped up and went to go talk to her, and it was like the jolt of doing so jolted me awake :/

At this point I decided to try to go back into the dream where I left off. I stayed stock-still, kept my eyes closed, and imagined the dream. I got a bit of HI, and it looked different - it felt like lucidity was riiiiiight..... there, so close but yet so far away. The HI intensified for a sec, and then blinked out, and I was wide awake, laying in my bed, and I knew I wasn't going to get back in, so I got up. The clock on my dresser said it was about a half an hour since I'd gone back to bed after getting up to use the restroom and get water.

Has anyone gotten the "lucidity, but no scenery" thing happening, and if so, how did you get some to appear? Just imagining it and wishing for it didn't seem to work.
