I think you're just trying too hard. I'm not exactly sure you were dreaming at that point? Just in SP maybe? I'm not expert but I definitely know what you are talking about.

I sometimes don't get any visuals or sounds when I'm attempting a WILD, just the normal sensations of falling, spinning and flipping (just like you described) and the visuals don't come until after all that stops and I'm actually dreaming. I think you getting stressed about the lack of visuals made you wake up?

Hmmm... no, I guess I'm not positive I was dreaming - I think I just assumed that since I'd felt "the shift" - you know, the falling/spinning feeling, that okay, I should start dreaming now. Maybe that's my problem? The last time, not long after the sinking feeling, I got imagery and got up and went about my lucid dream. Maybe that was a fluke...

So what you're saying is even though I've felt the shift and all, I'm not quite 'there' yet, right? What should I do in the meantime, then? After I've felt the shift, when I'm just there in blackness, I can't feel my real body, ect. Do I just lay quietly and wait? Should I try to imagine some imagery? I'm curious how other people do it.

How long after the spinning/falling stops do you usually have to wait before you get imagery?
