Using lucidity to resolve dream conflicts?

So I was reading "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming" and the author gave an example of a lucid dream he had where he was climbing a mountain while it was snowing, and upon becoming lucid he jumped off and flew around.

However, he says that if he had that same dream again, rather than flying around the whole time, he would use his "power of intention" to fly to the top of the mountain and see why he was climbing it in the first place.

So have any of you experienced oneironauts ever used your lucidity to figure out something you would not have otherwise known about the plot of the dream you happened to be in, or resolved the actual conflict by using DC ? And if so, was it rewarding?

lol funny story my first lucid was on a snowy mountain... i forgot why i was going up it though it was after some girl but idr why i was after her or what she looked like

so yeah i'll definatly keep that in mind i think she was hot anyway so why not
