Thread: MY FIRST LUCID DREAM! yay

well ive been on here for 3 days and last night i had my first lucid dream. since i joined ive being writing my dreams in detail, analysing them and performing reality checks frequently. i wrote "are you dreaming" on my hand and looked at it every couple of minutes during the day. last night i went to sleep after about an hour of tosing and turning. the last thing i remember saying in my head was"i will become lucid" . in my dream i was at school and i saw my friend emma who is currently overseas. i remember writing in my journal to take note of emma because shes overseas and when you see her you must be dreaming. so i saw her and just sudenly realised i was dreaming. i looked at my hand to check and all i saw was blurred writing. so i felt myself getting excited but i remembered to stay calm or else i might wake up. i performed reality checks which was quite strange because when i tried to put my finger through my hand my hand dissapeared! i wanted the dream to last so i closed my eyes and began to spin thinking of a scenario i wanted to play out. i opened my eyes and the scene had changed to the city. i walked around the corner and expected to see the lead singer of my favorite band the strokes but he wasnt there. so i turned the next corner and saw a big bouncer guy asking if anyone wants to come see this band playing they have to recite lyrics from there songs. i new it was the strokes so i was about to start reciting when i said hey you not real and clicked my fingers and he dissapeared which was so much fun! i ran inside the door and this was when i started to loose the lucidity and began sinking into the dream. my mum suddenly appeared and we walked around the corner and there were the strokes. i was so happy because it was so real like real life. then my mum started telling them how stubborn i was and i was sulking and then they went on nstage to play and the lead singer had a bass with no neck and i was like what? then the dream started to fade and i was back in bed before i could do anything else. overall it was a fun and inlightening experience. sorry for such a long adaption i was just so happy. ive certanly learnt alot about my dreams after last night. its strange becuas ei feel like i was dreaming i was lucid. did i really become lucid?
